Sadio Mane is finally getting the recognition he deserves
There are some players that get the goals and you just have this thinking that he is not so good. Salah is one of such players. His pace was used to devastating effect when he took the world by storm. His fame went far and wide with many comparing him to Messi. You want to shut out Salah, play an inverted left back. He has improved a bit this season and I hope he continue improving.
Sadio Mane is just too good. He is the workhorse of Liverpool and many don’t appreciate this. Salah is the bigger name and that made Mane taking his game to a bigger level. He scored 28 times last season and provided further 5 assists. He is on course to do better this season. The season is just half and he has already scored 15 goals with a further 11 assists. His work rate is remarkable and he is always dangerous. His performance in the Champions League final against Madrid is noteworthy. Despite Salah injury, he pegged back the Madrid defense line and threatened to wreak more havoc if not for Karius disastrous goalkeeping.
He carried the form to the national team and helped the team to the final before losing to winners Algeria. The Senegalese is one of the underrated players out there and with this award, I hope he continue winning more and more of them. The EPL golden boot plus Africa best player award. It is time to go for the PFA player of the year award.

Riyad Mahrez performance with Manchester City made him lose the award. He wasn’t a regular with Pep Guardiola side and that went against him. He had a fine AFCON experience with his amazing free kick against Nigeria voted as the best goal.
