Second half boost helps Russia to sink Egypt 3:1
In the second game of Group A Russia ragged Egypt 3:1 and got very close to secure a place in playoffs. After cautious play at the first half hosts came out more attack minded and caused a number of real problems in opponent box. After Fathi own-goal in 47th minute, Russia added extra two classy goals by Denis Cheryshev and Artyom Dzyuba. Egypt star Mohamed Salah earned a penalty and grabbed as consolation goal.

I think it's nice to see the hosts pick up the victory. I hope they go far in the tournament to sustain interest among locals
Russia team was quite lame during the warm-up games so it's nice to see them back on rebel terms. Anyways, playoff against likes Portugal or Spain will show whats their real potential is
So so sad for Africa. All teams have lost so far but Senegal
