Where Is Our Victor Moses?
The arrival of a new coach at a club most times ushers in a new era for everything that surrounds or makes up the team viz: Style of play, training patterns, choice of player, dietary rules and lots more.
Maurizio Sarri arriving at Stamford Bridge was definitely not going to be an exception and every player was set to lay claim to a shirt with the new man.
The only major signing he brought with him was Jorginho whom he coached at Napoli and the Italian has gone on to establish himself in the heart of the Chelsea midfield.
After the 2018 World Cup in Russia during the summer, Nigerian winger, Victor Moses announced his retirement from International football to focus more on his club career much to the shock of football loving Nigerians.
The 26-year old who was an integral part of former coach, Antonio Conte's title wining side was mostly deployed by the Italian as a wing back in a three-man defense.
Moses has however gone into obscurity since the decision and has been subjected to him just cameo appearances in cup games.
It was believed that the reason behind the former Wigan Athletic winger's decision was to avoid traveling to the African Nations Cup in 2019 to cement his place in the team.
The qualifiers are still on and the tournament is still months away yet, our dear Victor Moses has been reduced to a mere squad player under Sarri.
Sometimes the fear of players due to the arrival of a new manager could spell doom for them and this instance for Moses is an example.

While he is rotting away on the Chelsea bench, the Nigerian team have moved on and in fact, found more than enough replacements for him.
In the last game against Libya, the Super Eagles had a revelation in Samuel Kalu whom many believed is an improved and even better version of Victor Moses and with others like Henry Onyekuru and Moses Simon still around, the former African champions may not even notice his absence.
Nonetheless, this does not do his career any good and being at his peak age, he needs to find a solution if he doesn't seem to be in Sarri's plan.
