English Premier League matchday 22: Review, Talking Points and Results

The matchday 22 of the English Premier League which started on Monday, the first of January has just been concluded.

There were ten matches played among the premier league clubs at interval, with lots of goals, injuries and suspensions.

Liverpool visited Burnley at the Turf Moore stadium.
The reds are on the back of a winning streak since December and they continued their form by defeating Burnley by two goals to one. Burnley were on the brink of securing a point after Ben Mee scored on the 85th minute, but Firmino secured all three points for the reds after a cool finish on the 91st minute.

Manchester United who were hosted by Everton went back to winning ways after three consecutive draws in the EPL.
Second half goals from Martial and Lingard took the red devils to second position. Manchester united are still without star player Ashley Young, after he was given a three match ban for misconduct.

Swansea city hosted the Premier League runners up last season, Tottenham Hotspur.
Fernando Llorente scored against his former club, before Dele Ali added a second half goal to make it two goals to nill. Tottenham are in fine form currently, and star striker Harry Kane was introduced from the bench.

Title favourites Manchester city, hosted struggling Watford at the Etihad stadium. The citizens were a force to reckon with, they outplayed the visitors throughout the game and bagged all three points.
Goals from Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero and an own goal from Kabasele were enough to secure all three points for the league leaders.

The last match of the gameweek 22 which was played yesterday was a London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea at the Emirates stadium.
The game sparked up in the second half with an entertaining display from both sides, chelsea were on the brink of securing all three points when Hazard and Alonso scored to make it 2-1, but a stoppage time goal from Bellerin meant that both teams will have to settle for a draw.
