The Craftiness of a genius...

Last Sunday we witnessed another superb demonstration of whom I consider to be the most talented football player in this sport history, he still has yet to get its best shape since two injuries have diminished greatly his appearances on La Liga matches. You can tell by his rhythm that he still is not there yet...but even though he's not at his prime, he still is capable of delighting FC Barcelona fans with amazing goals such as the free-kick he scored on the last match against Sevilla.

Every goalkeeper that is playing against Barcelona surely has nightmares with this image, we have seen him so many times to pinpoint the spot where he wants the ball to go...

He then takes a short run and hits the ball in the right spot to make it go where the goalkeeper has no chance to reach it.

It's really funny to see how other teams have to create strategies to counter Leo's craftiness, it's like he makes the whole sport to evolve and develop new tactics to try to stop them... and he just continues to render all of them useless. For instance, in this picture you can see how a Sevilla player lies on the ground just behind the barrier made by other Sevilla players to prevent him from scoring with a strike by the ground.

This time he chose another path, and even the great jump some Sevilla players made was useless to prevent him from scoring the fourth goal for Barcelona on that night.

We're lucky to enjoy this man talent each weekend... hopefully he can go on for many more years.
