RESULTS – 2017 NFL Pro Bowl and Free-For-All Contest
It was a return to more traditional Pro Bowl match-ups in this year’s game and it turned out as expected.
In last year’s game, 76 points were scored and there were many big plays. This year, the AFC beat the NFC, 20-13. And there were just a handful of plays that added some excitement to the game. However, it wasn’t a blowout, so it did feel more like a traditional football game between two good teams.
Noticeably absent was a good rushing attack, particularly from the NFC and Ezekiel Elliott. But none of the running backs carried the ball more than eight times and with linemen from different teams coming together, blocking assignments can be missed more often.
The quarterbacks and receivers were certainly the stars in this game. Odell Beckham and Doug Baldwin had the biggest plays of the game, both for the NFC. But the AFC completed 75% of their passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns and ultimately came away with the win.
This weekend will be the culmination of all of the season’s work – Super Bowl LI. We’ll see a lot more stars and some records will fall. But for now, let’s get to the Free-For-All contest results!
Rewards, Winners, and Payouts
We had a total of 24 contestants this week. The totals earned from the Preview post were 13.372 SD and 62.318 STEEM. I “converted” the SD to STEEM at a price of $0.156 per STEEM, which gave me an additional 85.718 STEEM, bringing the total to 148.036. I removed 3.036 STEEM to be carried over for the Super Bowl contest, so the rewards for the current contest totaled 145 STEEM.
The payout for each of the five statistical categories was 29 STEEM. These were the final stats and the winners for each category:
