2019 was very popular for some viral issues. Onion issue one of them and it was the most viral issue in Bangladesh in 2019. We can be called 2019 as an Onion year. Normally at the beginning of 2019 people of Bangladesh used to purchase onion at a maximum of $.48 cents per kilogram. But the last year people of Bangladesh had to purchase onion at a maximum of $3.30 USD. Within a very short time, the rate of onion increased around $2.8 USD. Such kind of unrealistic accident does not even occur in the stock market. The people of Bangladesh were not prepared for that kind of issue.

It was looking like a natural disaster people have to face it but it was not a natural disaster it was created by us. Certainly, the Indian Government stopped to export onion in Bangladesh. So the rate raised at a very high rate.

But the question is there if the Indian Government stopped to export onion in Bangladesh. There had to be a great crisis of onion in Bangladesh. But the real picture is totally negative. There was no crisis of onion in our country. The supply of onion was available, people who stored onion they came out and started to supply onion with a very very high rate.

What about Government Stock!!! What were the activities of PFDS (Public Food Distribution System)? Everyone tries to make focus on the export issue of the Indian Government. By this private food stockholder play t-20 match with the poor and middle-class family.

This is a very regular picture of the food supply chain or marketing policy. The food supply chain are totally beyond controlled by our Government. Most of the time any Government of Bangladesh fails to control this market. There have a very universal truth in Bangladesh if unfortunately the price of any good increase for any issue, it will never decrease, it will remain the same or will increase more and more.

Bangladesh is an agricultural country, every year the total people of Bangladesh consumed more than 32-35 million tons of Rice and more than 4-4.1 million tons of wheat, and Bangladesh is very capable to cultivate more than 35 million tons of rice and more than 4 millions tons of wheat. What about onion? Bangladesh is very capable to cultivate more onion per year than there needs.

Bangladesh Government launched a project named "Modern Food Storage Facilities Project" in 2014.Purpose storage much more food for any crisis with the capacity for 535,500 tons of rice and other food items. What is the future of this project? The project still under construction for more than five years already passed way.

The total food supply chain in Bangladesh can be compared with any Blockchain Technology. In Blockchain we always try to stake our token for our future profit and reputation. As in the food supply chain some greatest businessman stock food items for future profit. In Blockchain technology there has a risk of decrease rate or price staked token, But in our country, there was no risk of decrease the rate of the food item.

On the other hand day by day, the expense of cultivation increasing very highly. The farmer of our country becoming demotivated for cultivation. The farmers are not getting their expected value of products. The corrupted of Business-minded food chain purchasing their product at a very low rate but they are selling those products at a very high rate. Storing food item is also a part of this supply chain. They always tried to make virtual crises of any food items intentionally for increasing the value of food items.

As I say in my title storing food items are going to the most popular profitable Business in Bangladesh.
