KERUPUK dorokdok sudah sangat familiar dengan orang Sunda. Makanan berbahan baku kulit tersebut sangat disukai oleh berbagai kalangan. Bahkan kabarnya, makanan yang juga sangat cocok dijadikan oleh-oleh tersebut sudah sampai ke luar negeri, seperti Australia, Belanda, Italia, dan Arab Saudi.

Di Tasikmalaya, pengrajin kerupuk dorokdok terpusat di Paseh, Kel. Tuguraja, Kec. Cihideung, Kota Tasikmalaya. Di tempat tersebut kini ada lima pengusaha kerupuk dorokdok yang masih eksis menjalankan usahanya. Bahkan di antaranya ada yang ekspansi ke jenis kerupuk lain, seperti kerupuk kulit.

karena ada yang lunak (lunak gimana gitu), ada yang keras (sekeras batu).

Bahan mentah Dorokdok sendiri dari sisitan daging yang menempel dari kulit sapi yang baru datang dari penjagalan sebelum digarami. Jadi bisa dikatakan, Dorokdok berbahan baku mentah yang lumayan bergizi, karena ada daging sapi dan lemak sapi.

Harus dilakukan penelitian secara berkelanjutan jika ingin mengetahui lebih jauh kandungan gizi didalamnya. Tetapi dorokdok belum bisa diolah secara kontinyu. Untuk memperoleh Dorokdok itu sendiri otomatis menjadi sangat mahal. Karena penyusutan yang luar biasa dari bahan baku mentah hingga barang jadi.
