The Avo Tree

Catch up on an earlier post about where I live, an industrial area where I also live. I mentioned a large Avocado tree which houses a great many birds which in the middle of an area filled with steel, concrete and large machines this life giving mother stands proud.

Apart from housing the birds and providing some of them with food we also benefit from this tree by enjoying her lovely Avo's. I believe that food can be grown pretty much anywhere as I try never to throw away any fruit seeds or pips, but plant them and love seeing them grow to the point where I can find them a nice spot in the soil so they can root and become contributors on so many levels. Food, shade, assisting in cleaning the atmosphere and home for birds and other small wildlife.

I planted apple seeds, lemon seeds, mango seeds, avo seeds and orange seeds about three months back and now have eighteen small fruit trees which will patiently wait for the next spring to come around in three months so they can claim their place in the garden.

There is so much that can be done to help yourself, your planet and others and it doesn't have to be the most grueling or time consuming work on the planet. Food for thought
