Recently, I had the opportunity to sit down with @dwells, @scotthutslar, @mericanhomestead, and @woodsmith to try the "one chip challenge."

One tortilla chip, covered in Carolina Reaper. Approximately 2 million Scoville Heat Units. One simple challenge. Eat the whole chip, and then wait five minutes before drinking milk or anything else. Can we do it?

I was not hiding within my t-shirt. My eyeballs were perspiring, something I had never experienced before and I was wiping the perspiration from my eyeballs.

I am a girl for the spicy, sometimes when I cook and spice a hot pepper, I must wash my nose because I can not stand anything even the smell.

I accept your challenge. This will be greater than Tide Pods! Now where do I get some of this thermal nuclear stuff you are putting on these chips? I did find a bag of chips that was so hot it took me two days to eat the whole bag. Look for the Ghost Chili Pepper chips. I could only eat about 5 maybe 6 chips before having to stop and take a break they were so hot.
I make my own Carolina Reaper and Ghost Pepper powder. We could dump it on just about any food for a challenge!
Oh I remember some sportscasters doing this last year (maybe) and it was awful! The one guy drank about a half gallon of milk... and it still wasn't enough to calm down and stop the fire in his mouth.

Yeah... kinda wimpy- and put their "strong man" persona to rest
I'm not sure brave is the adjective I would chose, Haha ;) But it was quite fun watching there faces turn red.

For me there was no flavor, my taste buds died the moment that chip hit my tongue.
