Okay, it is not as bad as you think. In fact, if you are interested, you should check out the recipe from Papa-Pepper. We enjoy these tongue tacos, and they are very delicious.
Sure, when you look at it now, it may not seem that appetizing. I mean, c'mon, it's just a big tongue right? Ewww!
But, once you cook it and remove the outer layer, this dish actually gets really tasty.

For our family, this is a very delicious meal that we really enjoy. The whole family was glad that @papa-pepper got this tongue the other day. In fact, we cooked it the night that he got back from @shalomacres and ate it for breakfast the next morning.

The first time I had cow tongue it was in a soup and I didn't want to eat it at first, but that was a big mistake! When I finally tried it I discovered it was great!

I have eaten "langue de bœuf" (beef tongue) several times in the past, but not recently.
I am quite sure if you do it now it will taste much better than before. And try pog tongue. It is real good, too.
Lengua de vaca. Si tu pones ese plato en la mesa de cualquier venezolano con seguridad que no dejarán ni un poquito. Eso si es rico de verdad. Vista al natural, luce un poco desagradable, pero después que está cocida y bien preparada, es uno de los platos más ricos que jamás probarás. Esa carne suave y jugosa con un sabor súper espectacular. No tienes ni la más mínima idea de lo delicioso que puede ser. Si alguno de ustedes nunca lo ha probado, los invito a que lo hagan. En burritos, tacos, sandwiches, hamburguesas, con arepas o cachapas. Es demasiado rico. Y si te gusta la lengua de vaca. Te invito a que pruebes la lengua de cochino o cerdo. Esa es aún mejor. ES un poco más pequeña, pero no tiene competencia.
