Cocolo Ramen Bar Berlin with @soldier (@knozaki2015´s recommendation)
I am back with another food blogpost! As you can tell, I haven’t been posting much lately. It was due to my busy schedule traveling to different countries and jumping from one event to another. I took some time off and decided to visit another city with my friend Lena @soldier. My go to city in Germany is of course Germany´s capital - Berlin! I’m in love with Berlin as it has so much to offer, whether it´s sightseeing spots or delicious food places. Lena and I spend an entire day in Berlin to pursue our hobby - looking for the best food places to eat at. This blog post is about the ramen bar ‘Cocolo’ at Berlin Kreuzberg. Cocolo is the first search result on google, when you search ramen restaurants in Berlin. I always check the customer reviews before visiting a restaurant. And as it has an average of more than 4 out of 5 stars, we thought why not give it a try.
Cocolo Ramenbar is a Japanese restaurant which is located right in the district Kreuzberg. The entire restaurant conveys a cozy atmosphere - and of course it gives you an authentic Japanese flair. Cocolo has about 5 or 6 different Ramen dishes (as far as I can remember), a few appetizers and also very delicious desserts.
Appetizer
Edamame are delicious young green soybeans, often served in Japanese restaurants and izakaya pubs before entrees and main courses. They are most commonly eaten directly from the pod with a little salt. The second appetizer we had is seaweed salat - this salat is a very common ingredient in Japanese cuisine! It’s overall quite sweet and crunchy.
Drink
We decided to go for a Japanese brown rice tea, known as „genmaicha“. It is a special blend of green tea and roasted brown rice. Brown rice tea contains flavonoids, antioxidants, trace minerals and vitamins. The health benefits of brown rice tea are comparable to that of green tea. It has a nutty aroma and flavor.
Main Dish
We went for a very delicious Tan Tan ramen with minced beef, turkey, added with corn and sliced spring onions. The deep broth flavored noodle soup with sesame and a bit of chili pepper was beyond delicious.
If you´re in Berlin some time, I highly recommend you to give this ramen bar a try! Lena and I are definitely going to visit this place again. Besides this amazing place, we have so much more of Berlin to share with you! Since the Berlin Wall came down about 27 years ago, the city’s restaurant scene has progressed tremendously, and it now stands on the verge of a true culinary explosion. Berlin is truly one of the most exciting food destinations in Europe!

food looks good. Don't look like a big place but have 2nd thoughts after busybody at Google maps.
It´s actually bigger. I only took a picture of one corner. Anyway, the food was pretty good
