#ULOG 4 : Best Tasting Korean Dishes to Try at Cook Pub, Cebu, Philippines
Annyeonghaseyo Chingu!
It's been months now since I last dined at Cook Pub, which has become one of the most visited Korean-themed restaurants in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. Good thing, my best friend treated me to a sumptuous Korean dinner last night, then I was able to visit the restaurant again for the third time unplanned.
In the Philippines, anything Korean is bound to be a big trend. So, to get their fix, many Filipinos have embraced the offerings of Korea: its culture, TV shows, songs, fashion, more especially its FOOD, that's also why Korean food establishments in the country are growing in number.
This time, let's go explore some of the tastiest and mouth-watering Korean dishes that you must try some time in your life.
C'mon! Let's Eat . . .
Alright! These were what we tried last night. We had Bibimbap, Spicy Grilled Squid, Kimchi, Samgyeopsal, and Kimchi Cheese Fries on the table. It felt like we had again a fiesta dinner in a foodie paradise.
Every time we dine at Cook Pub, we always get a new dish to try. And in yesterday's dinner, we tried its Kimchi Cheese Fries for the first time.
Enjoy Eating . . .
Bibimbap
Bibimbap is a bowl of mixed ingredients which includes, but not limited to, rice, vegetables, and meat like pork, beef and chicken. In Cook Pub, they call it Bibimpan since it is served in a small pan. With the saturation of vegetables in this dish, I felt like I was taking a lick of a tasty vegan meal.
Samgyeopsal
Samgyeopsal is one of the most popular Korean dishes in the country. It primarily consists of strips of unmarinated grilled pork belly that'll be dipped in salt and pepper seasonings and then wrapped in lettuce along with Kimchi and minced onion, garlic and other spices.
Kimchi Cheese Fries
Kimchi Cheese fries, from how the dish is named, is a mix of fries, kimchi seasonings and melted cheese. It was my first taste of this dish last night. Believe me, the combination of flavors is really great. I think I might try to prepare it at home someday.
Of course, together with these foods is their complimentary side dish KIMCHI. Korean dinner would not be complete without the spicy and sour fermented cabbage called Kimchi, on the table. When it comes to Korean meal, Kimchi I believe is the most known food worldwide.
Wow looks super good! We really need good Korean places here in Cagayan De Oro City, oh well gotta visit Cebu again for these hot plates! Thanks for sharing :)
