My 3 lovely roos semt them to freezer camp!
I got 3 lovely young roos (live) from a new neighbor friend this morning and sent them to freezer camp.
They are brining now for 24 hours, then off to the freezer.
This was sort of practice for me to see if this is something I could handle on my own (yes).
Question is - the neighbor noted in 30 years living here and raising birds she has always been told no one eats the roos - only the hens cuz they are fattier and taste good and the roos - yuck.
She always gives them away.
Then what does everyone do with their roos?
I think they are going to be delicious!
What do you all do with your roosters?
Follow me @iamkunaning
Nothing wrong with the taste of roosters, cook them slowly for a long time if they are older and a little tough
thanks
