Eating A Pinoy Favorite Merienda (Snack) : Pritong Saging na Saba (Fried Cardava Bananas)

Ate another Filipino Favorite today for merienda (snack), fried bananas particularly Saging na Saba (Cardava Bananas) are a merienda favorite for Pinoys to eat especially the young ones. Even though you can eat the banana straight out after peeling the skin off, frying it takes the taste to another level.

Preparation of the food is simple you just need to fry it in vegetable cooking oil until you see the bananas turn golden brown. No need to add sugar or sweeteners in the process as the banana became sweeter during the cooking process. AlthoughI know some variations add sweeteners which in my humble opinion is too much. Before you fry it you must always cut it in half as this particular type of bananas are a thick breed, and don't forget to add a tissue paper into the plate to suck out excess oil from the bananas during the cooking process.

For the people who have not tried this already believe me when I say that the taste goes to another level. The texture especially the added crispiness will make you eat and eat more until there is none left in your plate.

Also some fun fact Saging na Saba (Cardava Bananas) are the most nutritious kind of banana from all kinds of bananas out there. Also cooking it on vegetable oil will help maintain its healthiness.

Thank you for reading my short article about this merienda of mine. I hope that you like it the way I like it. If you like my post leaving an upvote will truly be appreciated by me.
