It's another awesome day in the Garden of Eden, and it's time for another awesome sustainable feast!

We love food, and we love sharing it! We are happy to have abundant resources to provide 40,000 delicious, nutritious, free meals a year to hungry people. Food is such an important part of life!

We are always dedicated to wellness, but this week we are super focused on getting as strong and healthy as possible! We have been following an anti-candida protocol, and diet is a huge element of that. The meals we are having lately do not use sugar, meat, or dairy, and everyone in our ecovillage is feeling better every day because of it. Please catch up on our candida series if you're interested to know more about this fungus that affects 85% of the population!

We had a beautiful meal tonight with a few kinds of soup and delicious veggies that made for a dank salad!

Cooking for a crowd like ours of 20+ people does not often leave leftovers, but when they do we make sustainable use of them as well. We used our leftover bits from this week to bulk up some yummy soups. The first was a butternut squash beauty with tons of veggies and some white beans.

The second soup was curried lentil with root veggies.

We had a big skillet of fried potatoes, made in our sustainable outdoor kitchen of course. We do all of our cooking over rocket stoves we built out of dirt by hand, and we burn "trash" fence panels that were otherwise destined to pollute the Earth in a landfill.

We also had a lovely sautee of onions, broccoli, zucchini, and green beans! These elements made for delicious additions to a salad of garden greens with tahini and homemade apple vinegar!

Food is important and we hope to inspire people to really take time to eat, enjoy it, and share it with someone you love. We also hope to inspire more and more sustainable practices in regards to  food. We want to remind everyone to let food be your medicine too!

Im super hungry right now!

Wow! Cooking for 20+! Do you all take turns in cooking or do you have a few who enjoy cooking and are happy to do most of it?

Most people here enjoy cooking, but right now we have just a couple people who take it on as their daily responsibilities. It's quite an incredible reality, because one or two people can focus on something they already like to do such as cooking, while the rest of the community can devote their time and energy to other things they like to do (like gardening or Steemit), and at the end of the day everyone gets to enjoy good food and a lovely garden and the success of things like Steemit!

My son has a problem with the deposition of amino acids in the brain. And the doctor advised me to use these foods without using meat, or dairy, but can using sugar,

Doctors are not educated on nutrition as healing. In 4 years of medical school, they might get 1 hour of nutrition education. We don't have experience with your son's condition, but it is fact that doctors know very little about how the diet affects health.

That look good!

It looks very delicious. I like.

Thanks, @berkat! Grateful to have so much to share!
