High wow-factor, low effort. This dessert never fails to impress every time I make it! The best part? Nobody knows how simple it really is. Teehee.

Yogurt Bomb! Think smooth, freshly strained yogurt topped with a pile of plump, vibrant berries ready to cleanse your tongue after all that heavy grilled meat action.

It’s picturesque, it’s creamy, it’s refreshing, and, best of all, it’s hard to mess up!

I make it year-round, but it’s really perfect for the summer, during prime berry season, when barbecue invites join the bees and flies in the air.

Everything you need to make the perfect Yogurt Bomb with Summer Berries:

400 gm Greek yogurt
150 gm plain yogurt
80 gm powdered sugar
1 pk vanilla sugar or 1 tsp vanilla extract
Juice of a lemon wedge
400 ml heavy whipping cream, chilled
250 gm Strawberries, chopped
250 gm Whole blueberries

How to make it:

Important: Make the delicious yogurt bomb one day before you want to eat it.

  1. Combine yogurt, sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice in a large bowl. Mix well with a spatula.

  2. In a stand mixer, beat the whipping cream until stiff (that means, you can turn the bowl with the cream upside down, and it is so stiff it doesn’t fall out!).

  3. Once the whipping cream is ready, gently fold the cream into the yogurt mixture.

  4. Line a sieve with a clean kitchen cloth or cheese cloth. Place the lined sieve inside a large, clean bowl (the sieve should be inside the bowl but not touch the bottom).

  5. Pour the yogurt mixture carefully into the lined sieve.

  6. Cover the mixture with the overlapping cloth.

  7. Place the mixture overnight (at least 12 hours) in the fridge to allow the whey to strain out from the yogurt.

  8. The next morning, remove the strainer from the bowl. Pour out the whey.

  9. Unwrap the overlapping cloth and place a serving plate on top of the sieve. Turn the dessert over. It should come out smoothly and land on the plate. Carefully remove the cloth from the yogurt bomb.

  10. Arrange the chopped and whole berries around and on top of the yogurt bomb. Serve immediately and enjoy :)

I'll try this recipe looks yummy healthy one, thank you ♥

It certainly is yummy!! There is whipped cream inside (I've not tried any healthier substitutes yet), so not sure if 'healthy' might be a bit misleading, but with the greek yogurt, it's definitely a feel-good, balanced dessert..hope you like it! Let me know how it went :)
