Great news for all those who have a sweet tooth: Prague hosting a candy festival!

If you happen to be in Prague, the capital of my beautiful homeland the Czech Republic, this May and you like to eat sweets and candies, I have some exciting news for you.

From Saturday May 12 to Sunday May 13, Prague will be hosting the third year of the Prague Candy Festival, a unique festival for fans of sweets and candies of all kinds.

Held at the Pragovka Hall next to the Kolbenova subway station, the festival offers countless opportunities to taste anything from chocolate cakes, desserts and muffins to ice creams, sweet fruit juices, hot chocolates and much more. The festival also comes with a variety of additional programs and workshops including cake production and decoration, contests for both adults and children etc.
The Prague Candy Festival starts at 10 A.M. and ends 7 P.M- on both days, the basic admission fee is 400 CZK (16 EUR / 20 USD).

My suggestion is to visit Prague Chocolate Museum was opened in 2008 and is dedicated to the history of chocolate, with about 2,600 years. The museum is divided into three parts. The first part tells the story of cocoa as a drink and how it arrived in Europe. The second tells us about the origin and development of chocolate production. And in the third part there is a huge collection of chocolate wrappers. In addition, the museum you can see the tools for the production of chocolate, axes and hammers for sugar, a small exhibition of old dishes, as well as molds for chocolate bars and sweets. Here you can become a direct participant in the manufacturing process of the famous Belgian chocolate, then try, learn the ancient secrets of the origin of silky chocolate and admire the Vladomira Cech paintings written with liquid chocolate. At the exit of the Chocolate Museum is a shop where you can buy all kinds of sweets - chocolates, candies and lollipops.

When I'm in town I'll definitely be checking with you any type of food related festivities. Those are always a favorite of mine. I'm hoping they have something showing off typical traditional food, that's always a great cultural experience.
