There are different view points on this but no hard science, some people claim it can increase cardio, I used to smoke before going to BJJ. I wouldn’t say it increases cardio but it was something I found helped even during training especially in Jiu-Jitsu

i have a few friends who smoke up before the gym and they seem to really like it. I haven't tried at the gym myself, but before going snowboarding its amazing - makes the ride so much more fun / beautiful :)
