30 Days of Discipline

Weight Lifting

Hello all! As you know from my previous post, I am in the process of building habits which enable me to succeed. The current plan is called 30 Days of Discipline. The basic premise for 30 DoD is to commit yourself to 11 specific habits to improve your physique, self-confidence and self-control. Here are the 11 habits you need to do for the 30 DoD:

  1. No snacking and only 3 meals per day may be consumed (I am eating on 2)
  2. Wake up daily at or by 5AM
  3. Take cold showers
  4. No masturbation or pornography
  5. 100 pushups, sit-ups and body squats per day
  6. Dress your absolute best
  7. Have a to-do list that you will accomplish
  8. Keep correct posture
  9. Directly answer questions
  10. Keep a notebook and pen with you at all times
  11. Pick a specific and definite goal to accomplish by the end of the 30 days and work towards it

On Sunday morning and afternoon you can take time off but that night is to prepare for the week ahead.

Day 1

Monday, August 8th, was my first day on the plan and I managed to complete all of the tasks. The toughest part physically was the sit-ups but eating only two meals a day was a close second. I am not having a problem waking up early; however, I end up waking up around 2:30AM which is wayyy too early for me. Most of you might have trouble with the cold showers at first but I find myself enjoying them because it is so hot and humid in Alabama. I need to make better decisions with my to-do lists because I end up shooting for the starts when I should aim low at first and work my way up. What I do like about the to-do list is that I commit myself to writing on Steemit everyday! I won't talk about wanking here but it is hard to abstain. Directness is definitely an area I need to work on because I usually find myself explaining my decisions to people when they ask about politics.

My specific and definite goal for the challenge is to create an Android app and make a sales pitch to a local business. So far I have not progressed on that front, but I think Saturdays will make up for my lack of effort during the week. My aunt is also in need of a website so that was thrown into the mix of tasks as well so we will see how I do on my 30 day goal.

Day 2

Today has not been so bad but I am having hunger pangs. My current diet is strictly keto based on the suggestion from Victor Pride's book Body of a Spartan. I suggest if you're going to get any of these books then get the 30 DoD first because there is a coupon in there for Body of a Spartan.

I would also like to note that I am in no way affiliated with Victor Pride and I am simply trying out his routines for a review for everyone's sake.

As for my other habits, I am accomplishing them but now I have to finish off my pushups, sit-ups and body squats before I head off to bed. My to-do list also requires some bedtime reading before I hit the sack so I'll get a little bit smarter before I pass out.

Writing Routine

Let me know what you guys think about me combining two days of 30 DoD and every other day I write about something else entirely. Talk to y'all soon!
