Swimming is a sport that is great for health for people of all ages and abilities. With gyms reopening after the COVID-19 lockdown, it is time to get back into shape, and swimming is great on the joints and your cardiovascular endurance.

Swimming conditions the body without putting undue stress on the joints and musculoskeletal system. Those who have been injured or the elderly may not be able to exercise by running or other aerobic activities. Swimming is a great exercise for those who are recovering from injuries or are disabled, and works the muscles and cardiovascular system.

It is important for young children to learn to swim. With boating, pool parties and fishing so prevalent in life, swimming is a required safety skill. In addition, it is a lifetime fitness activity that can be done anywhere there is a pool.

The best way to swim yearlong is at a gym. Most gyms and health clubs will have pools on their premises, and may have leagues. Find a pool and start swimming now for your health and for the fun of it.
