    This finish-the-story prompt got really surrealistic. I discarded two sheets after failing to find a start. You managed to translate it to something realistic for me, and I think it'll inspire me to sit down at it again. Nice work. It could have been a little less drastic “going off the rail” though ;-)

      Off the rails. 🤪 It can be difficult getting into the story. I thought I’d abondon the first part and see what happens with this other world reporting on the fiction in the second.

          I liked how you developed a totally different concept, although I'm not sure that this may fall under the category of a second part of the story ;-) Yes, more or less, comes a point when you crash against the stupid prejudices and narrow mind of institutions and status quo protectors.. There would be a lot to say about but, at least, this contest can contribute a bit in opening everyone's mind through an exercise of creativity. Well done, Tristan!

              This is such an entertaining jump from the first half, I love that it is a story within a story. You are immediately repelled by this assumptive principle who feels qualified to be able to recommend a kid gets medicated, then the mothers initial attempt to still have a civil conversation, followed by the principles derision, gives the rest of the story a sense of satisfaction as she falters. Although that said, in that final mask slip moment I was brought back to all the times I had been persistently pleasant (which she was not at all) with difficult customers on the phone, then the instant cursing switch the second I hung up lol
