Standing Up, Falling Down (2019) – Movie Trailer
We have to be so grateful that we can still enjoy movie legends such as Billy Crystal is! One of the great “old-school” actors which, when you see, you start to laugh… Great comedies in which he was acting and we hope a lot more to come… The movie Standing Up, Falling Down is his newest comedy/drama, and, in a combination with Ben Schwartz they give this movie that “special something”. The movie is already in theaters so hurry up for your tickets.
The story follows a struggling stand-up comedian that is forced to move back to his parents' home to live… But, destiny has other plans for him and he meets an alcoholic, but charismatic dermatologist and they become best friends… Of course, there is an old crush from the early days involved...
The movie is directed by Matt Ratner, a known producer, but this is the first full-length movie that he is directing. He was producing movies like Band of Robbers (2015) or Manson Family Vacation (2015). The movie is written by Peter Hoare, a well-known writer of TV Series Kevin Can Wait (2016-2018) or movie Killing Hasselhoff (2017).
In the main roles are Golden Globe nominee Billy Crystal (Forget Paris (1995), City Slickers (1991), When Harry Met Sally... (1989)), Primetime Emmy winner Ben Schwartz (TV Series Parks and Recreation (2010-2015), House of Lies (2012-2016), Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)), Eloise Mumford (Fifty Shades of Grey (2015), Fifty Shades Freed (2018), So Undercover (2012)), Grace Gummer (Frances Ha (2012), The Homesman (2014), Larry Crowne (2011)), Nate Corddry (The Circle (2017), The Ugly Truth (2009), Ghostbusters (2016)) and others.
