A Rough Draft (2020) – Movie Trailer
I think that this is the first Russian movie that I’m doing a review and sharing a movie trailer, but if you take a look at the trailer, you will be also surprised by the quality and the story of the movie. Okay, it’s not a fine-brushed Hollywood blockbuster, but it’s a really interesting movie. It had premiere 2 years ago in Russia, but it’s just recently distributed with English synchronization...
The story follows a young computer game designer, Kirill who one day discovers that he is somehow erased from the memory of all his friends, family and people that know him… Little by little, he also discovers that he has been giving a very important mission; to be some kind of gatekeeper between parallel worlds of which there are dozens in the Universe… What is the real truth and is our Earth only an imaginary parallel world which doesn’t exist at all?
The movie is directed by Sergey Mokritskiy, a well-known Russian director and cinematographer, by movies Battle for Sevastopol (2015) and Protest Day (2012). The film is written by Maksim Budarin, Denis Kuryshev, Sergey Mokritskiy, Olga Sobenina by the novel of Sergey Lukyanenko.
In the main roles are Nikita Volkov (Two Women (2014), Dance to Death (2017), Project 'Gemini' (2020)), Severija Janusauskaite (Star (2014), Unburied (2018), Emilia (2017)), Yuliya Peresild (Battle for Sevastopol (2015), Kray (2010), Weekend [Uik-end] (2013)), Evgeniy Tsyganov (The Man Who Surprised Everyone (2018), Garden of Eden (2015)), Andrey Merzlikin (Fortress of War (2010), Strayed (2009), Bummer (2003)), Evgeniy Tkachuk (Winter Journey (2013), How Viktor 'The Garlic' Took Alexey 'The Stud' to the Nursing Home (2017), Once Upon a Time in Odessa (2011)) and others.
