Exploring The Scottish Countryside - Ancient Churches,Magical Waterfalls,Ladybugs,Fairy Bridges and Lentil soup!

Hey fellow Steemians!

I got to thinking about that fact that most of you guys are from North and South America and have likely never been to the UK.

Im not sure what the Scottish population is here on Steemit but I figured I would step up and show you around our beautiful little country.

I guess that's the beauty of vlogging and video sharing , we can share places that are of the beaten track ,lesser known ,hidden ,hard to find etc.

In this vlogging series we are going to be wandering in the Scottish countryside and documenting our findings.

In the first episode we are looking at the villages of Dairsie and Kemback which are near Cupar and St Andrews on the East coast of Scotland.

The vlog was filmed as it happened ,I had no real plan for this one but it ended up being quite an interesting day.

The first thing of interest I found was Dairsie Old Parish Church which was built it 1621

At first I didn't believe I was reading the keystone correctly as 1621 seemed to old.I am surprised a building as old as this is still in such good shape.

I will be making a point to try and get some more footage inside the church perhaps as part of some sort of Halloween video as the whole area lends itself well to that kind of content.

I am sure a building this old has its fair share of ghostly tales.Getting night time footage here should be quite an adventure.

A very short drive away from the Dairise church I found an even older church which is now in ruins but its still quite beautiful to behold such an old building.

This is Kemback Old Kirk built in 1582!

At the bottom of the road that leads up to the Old Kirk there is a pretty stunning little waterfall.In the vlog I climb up into the woods behind the waterfall in an attempt to get some truely of the beaten track footage.

Every spot I went to in the video I seemed to keep finding ladybugs...There are 4 throughout the vlog,see if you can spot them all!

Towards the end of the vlog we found this little moss covered bridge that looks like it came from Middle Earth or Narnia!
Honestly this thing looks like it was built for or by Leprechauns or other such fey folks.

Perhaps it marks a point where the dimensional veil is thin and Leprechauns and fairies can pass over it into the realm of the mortals?

I may need to revisit this area again and conjure up some sort of short fantasy film project.My imaginations all ready running wild with ideas...

The vlog ends with us visiting The White Chimney Sandwich shop where my dad met a friend he hadn't seen in around 15 years!

They chatted for a bit while I enjoyed some of the best home made Lentil soup I have had in a long time.
