RE: Second chance romance?

I find it sad and unnecessary that conventions can determine happiness or unhappiness. How long such happiness would last is anyone's guess: no one can see into the future. But the possibility of preventing it in advance... We humans are destructive in every respect.

Sort:

I wish we were truly free… but culture, circumstances, and countless forces shape our choices. Perhaps that’s why the world is filled with endless stories, because perfection is never meant to be. Even if everything aligned, could happiness ever be promised? Love itself is a paradox: sometimes when you find it, it feels incomplete; sometimes without it, you feel whole. No one lives in a perfect world.

I don't think it's a question of perfection... Happiness doesn't need perfection. Happiness comes from within. Each of us has the opportunity to open ourselves up to it, to be ready for it. We ourselves are the source of our happiness. We can actively do something about it – by choosing the triggers. We can also simply wait and see if it happens by chance. However, we should never accept it if a possible path to happiness is blocked.
