It was a short gathering that came unplanned, and as expected, it is in our shoes to make the project work. John was already telling Timothy that we anticipated this, and it came to us now we have our hands full.

Looking at Timothy, he's a critical thinker in project execution matters. He's calm here, brainstorming while walking down the stairs with his friend, John. Thinking of how best to handle this given the time frame required for execution. He quietly told John, We will definitely deliver the best. Let's get our analytical and creative skills on board.

Timothy calmly told John, Let's use your office space and deliberate critically on this. Remember we were told to come up with a team. We cannot just select the engineers without having a clear path of what we want and who gives us the best compatibility to our project. For me its a win for us. John!!! are you already lost in thoughts? Timothy asked.

Both entered John's office and jammed the door. It was time for an unusual tinkering. They both agreed that a good knowledge of interface and user platform programmer, App integration systems, and traffic pricing system is required. All ideas were brought to the table, and it was easy to mention the names of engineers with the requisite skills to handle the same.

At this point, the nervousness from both project managers, especially from John, has reduced. A solid team was named, and Timothy carefully penned down a 5-man project team for this...

Timothy said to John, itemising expectations would help reduce delays in achieving our project timeline. Timothy swiped into a new page, started listing all deliverables. Top-2 car rental apps were mentioned, and he jotted them down, as well as identifying all of their limitations.

Both proposed new features that would modernize and create attraction to their project in view. John suggested that there should be a feedback module in place to help get real-time activity from app users.

When the full complement of the team gathered, they immediately started brainstorming as Timothy assumed the role. of the secretary to put down all deliverables, expectations, and possible limitations in view. John was more vocal this time to spell out the dynamics of this project. The object is to vary rental prices relative to peak & off-peak periods, as well as promotional offerings that don't greatly affect company profit margins.

The other 3 teams of engineers now share responsibility weekly amongst them. One chooses to handle the dynamics that tend to predict historical data of demands made (peak & off-peak seasons), the other chooses the interface and user experience dynamics for an eye-catching platform. However, the last engineer was to introduce all promotional algorithms into the integration.

It had already been 4 weeks, Timothy asked. John, can we meet for a brainstorming session to allow us to assess progress levels? This was concurred, and a brainstorming session was fixed the next day, and after assessment, the project managers asked the team of engineers. During promotional offerings integration, can we also include some sort of price reduction to our regular rental visitors for their loyalty?

The engineer in charge of the promotional algorithm codenamed it loyalty offerings. This was overwhelmingly accepted by the entire team and it was adopted. Other already integrated features were tested including varying rental price indexes given demands from peak and off-peak hours and the exclusive user interface

Just about 5 weeks and 2 days, the team was already set for presentation to the entire team. A hands-on user testing was carried out to check all available integrations and how they responded during different variations. It was already in demo state before they were directed to come back the next day after a beautiful presentation.

It was the appointed presentation time, John and Timothy led the 5-man team to the auditorium where the other company members were already seated, and they quickly started the slide presentation using the PowerPoint via the projector. The rental App was finally launched live, and to the amazement of all, the Boss stood up and clapped for the team.

He was wowed as he commented on the alluring interface, the price adjustment automation, and promotional offerings with the loyalty program. He repeatedly told the team that this project was indeed impressive. At this time, the project felt relieved as well as accomplished for the just-concluded project.

The Boss gave them a thank-you handshake as well as an all-inclusive dinner invitation for the 5-man team.

Thank you, for reading... I'm inviting @uzma4882, @jubayer95, and @gabrielagg.

Feedback

  • Your concepts were clear but there was a crucial point missed which I can't open at this point in time though.

  • If there was a little more conversation between the team and exchange of ideas, you could score better.
