Alacantis looks a bit more friendly, compared to Kranisis. Makes me interested, I want to know more about the climate and the animallife.

Alacantis is a lot more arid than Kranisis. Çtaráña is famous for its rainforests, Shayanda for its fire swamps. We will go more into those in a few months in Rise of the Neví - Previously serialized Birth of the Neví has scenes in the area - with a lot more about its animal life. That hasn't really been discussed for Alacantis yet. The only thing I really know is that the Tephsa interior is extremely arid.

Alacantis what type of climate zone is it located in?

Usually places with that type of topography/mountains and "fjords" out in the ocean would accumulate a fair amount of rainfall, but if Alacantis was located in a very arid subtropical zone maybe not so much...

Very interesting I love your fantasy maps...

Oh, you're one of those... :-D (Teasing.)

The winds prevail from the NW, so the windward sides of the mountains do get a fair amount of moisture. The lee side is very well shadowed - perhaps the winds aren't strong enough to get much rain on the other side...

I see these as less "fjord"and more of what was left from an ancient group of volcanoes. You can see the remnants of several craters where nothing was left.

(Though I'm trying to work out whether these remnants would be extra fertile - due to general volcanism - or barren - due to the fact they were the hearts of the mountains rather than recipients of lava/ash.)

Sounds a bit similar to the Canary Islands?

Or some part of the Greek Archipelago?

I suppose so...
These ones were actually stolen from some of the islands between Vancouver Island and mainland British Columbia - but transposed a bit and reclimatized, lol.

But yes, these other island groups make a lot of sense.

Part 2 is posted in 15 minutes.

Oh I see, thats interesting.
