DELIZIOSO! FOOD FIGHT FRIDAY!
My entry this week is from my favorite fancy Italian food chain, Carrabba's. My son and I met my parents there for lunch the other day. My Dad always jokes that I am an expensive date, so I told him we are celebrating my new job on this occasion.
I usually get the Chicken Brian, a delicious grilled chicken topped with goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes, spinach, and a tasty sauce.
But I saw that they had a new dish called Pasta Georgio so I had to try it because it looked so good in the picture, lol.
It was penne pasta with a roasted red pepper pomodoro sauce, romano, sautéed green and red bell peppers, topped and baked with meatballs and mozzarella, then they top it with freshly grated parmesan at the table. Delizioso!!!
Also pictured is the most delicious Peach Sangria (made with Absolut Apeach) I have ever had, our appetizer: some tasty crispy calamari, the complimentary bread with olive oil and zesty Italian herbs, and each entree comes with soup or salad, so I chose the minestrone because they make it the best, in my opinion, and lastly some pics of the decor inside and the lovely views outside.

It is a really cool spot, and there's a whole bunch of fish in that lake/pond. My dad gave my son some left over bread to throw down to the fish, it was so cute! :-)

That bread though… everything looks fabulous. Don’t worry when I’m hungry I tend to be an expensive date too. I want an appetizer, a starter salad, dinner and a dessert. Lucky for the Mr. I only drink water but I make up for it in sweets :).

If so, This is probably the ONE thing I miss from my short (18 month) stay in Florida...
Ah, no... I now see from a google search that was "Fazoli's"... Carrabba's looks a lot better ;)
