May be you all my dear friends are most familiar with the herb.. that is also known as "queen of herb"."Basil plant"..The scientific name is Oscimum sanctum..
In Assam one of the most beautiful state of India, this festival is celebrated in the mid October... known as "Kati bihu"..and is related mainly with agriculture. On this festival people light earthen lamps in front of basil plant..
