RE: Fathers are unsung heroes

in #fathers6 years ago (edited)

A father and a son's journey has been perceived different, the father mentors and then the son is expected to use what has learned to make to a start on his own journey his way, where he may identify and meet other mentors who will teach him. If he looks as life filled with leaders then there are few are mentors, if he looks as life filled with bosses then fewer can teach you.

Unlike women in most societies who are communal, we are expected to to the strong silent ones who protect our secrets and techniques to stay ahead. That's why many communities with more mentors do better.

Thank that good woman, you were fortunate to get that mentor too work with that mentor.

Communities with lots of good mentors are what make many good men, who can make their way in life as leaders and teachers not as bosses moving nothing forward.

If you did not get into that circumstance you could have been down a very very very different path in life and well worse for you would have been.

I know because the transitions I had to make was from as employee to working as a consultant was the lack of with mentor-ship for me. And that's in technical fields.

In life you have it more difficult because with out a social crowd to teach relationship info your dead in the water.

congrats on your first post
