Sasha Siem Scoops The New Wave Award At The Fashion Media Awards 2019
British singer-songwriter Sasha Siem is now the very first artist to perform at The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Media Awards. The ‘Your Song’ singer made her first ever appearance at the awards over in America on September 5th , where she also scooped the gong for the New Wave award.
Having releases a string of singles this year including ‘Holey Wholly Holy’, ‘Eve Eyed’ and ‘Your Song’, this event marks such a monumental career Siem has had up until this point. Since graduating in Music from both Cambridge and Harvard, she has gone on to write music for the prestigious London Symphony Orchestra and The Royale Opera House to name a few of the projects Sasha has been a part of outside the realms of her own uniquely sounding music. Now getting another impressive gig and award under her belt, Siem’s latest appearance at the FMA’s marks her performing debut over in the States.
Held at the illustrious Rainbow Room at the Rockefeller Centre In New York City this year, the Fashion Media Awards is a night dedicated to recognising some of the biggest names in the fashion media scene. Rubbing shoulders with the likes of model Kate Moss, actress/singer Zendaya and British Vogue Editor Edward Enninful, Sasha Siem was amongst one of the twelve recipients of awards. Siem herself scooped the New Wave gong, yet another award which can sit comfortably next to the 35-year-olds previous wins including the title for British Composer back in 2010.
Described as “An up-and-coming artist who demands your attention” by The Daily Front Row Editor in Chief and CEO Brandussa Niro before Siem took to the stage at the FMA’s, it seems Sasha Siem is an artist very much in demand of everyone’s attention.
