That's right, my officer jacket ! I love wearing this in autumn because of the quality material of the jacket. It feels and wears like a premium jacket, and because of it's thick material, it's also surprisingly warm!

The background of officer jackets in fashion

After World War II, the loose fit wind resistant outer garments became quite popular. However, it's popularity was limited to those who wanted warmth and not those at the forefront of fashion.

It wasn't until 1968 that the great fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent launched his collection called "Saharienne" that the English Officers Uniform was incorporated into his designs.

Three of the earliest people in the world to wear the officer jackets as fashion pieces -- Yves Saint Laurent, super model Loulou de la Falaise and Betty Catroux. On the left, we see a Marilyn Monroe who was always conscious of being at the precipice of fashion sporting an officers jacket too.

Officer girl never drops off

So you must be wondering why I chose this style? Well for starters, I always felt my wardrobe lacked a piece like this..

One thing that really attracts me is the ranking badge which of course was traditionally used to indicate an officers rank in the army. However, I think it shows a bit of personality. The blush velvet then gives it a bit of a retro vintage feel.

But i'm also inspired by trends, and the officer jacket has never stopped being in trend.

And finally, my fur-felt hat completes the look

This is a decoration inside of London's Dover Street Market made with black refuse bags. It's very cool and very artistic.

The black Fur-Felt Hat completes my outfit, of course, the hat has a more functional use as well as looking trendy. With strong winds, it's always advisable to wear a hat to stop the heat being dissipated from you head and causing a "cold stimulus headache". Of course, it also helps keep my hair in check!

Warm Notice: If you live in a place that has frequent rain, then please wear a hat that is water-proof. They can be a nightmare otherwise!

我首先拿出这件军官风格的大衣
在秋日，我喜欢穿这件衣服，首先当然是因为它采用了真正军装外套的材料。我穿在身上的感觉是，料子厚又很挺，很有型，并且密不透风。

时尚圈军官外套的历史
二战之后的和平年代，宽大的防风外套在民间流行，当然那个时候大家对它的喜欢源于保暖。那时候城里的时髦人并没有爱上它…直到1968年，时尚大师伊夫·圣·罗兰在新一季著名的“Saharienne”系列中，加入了来自英国军官在印度所穿制服的灵感设计。

军官制服女孩从来不掉队
你一定迫不及待的问我，自己怎么会选择这样的风格？我选择它是因为，我总觉得我的衣橱里就缺一件这样的衣服^^首先是它的排扣吸引了我，我从来没有感受过把这样的排扣穿在身上的感觉，排扣能让衣服变得个性。然后是它的红色绒布材料，复古的感觉。

选择皮裙避免中性风
我不认为自己有硬朗的个性来走中性风，所以我要选择皮裙，皮质的材料配合军官制服应该很合适。
铆钉风格的靴子铆钉风格的靴子上的排扣与外套上的排扣相呼应，我之前的fashion blog 有靴子介绍。

最后再加一顶黑色毡帽Fur-felt hat
黑色毡帽让这套军官制服风格变得完整，当然我离不开帽子的另一个原因是，帮我抵挡伦敦突如其来的大风天，这样起码发型保住了。当然如果你的城市常下雨，记得选择防水的毡帽。
