For chicken breeders, maintaining fertility or fitness of rooster is very important. Because, the rooster is healthier. So, the stronger he will marry the mother. A tough rooster can marry 4-5 hens.

Therefore, a chicken farmer must be diligent in treating or maintaining fertility of roosters.

In this post, I would like to share tips on caring for male chickens to stay fit. Moreover, during the transition season like this. The weather is sometimes hot sometimes it rains, or in the morning it's sunny in the afternoon it rains.

  • To maintain the fitness of rooster, you must provide food that is good enough for nutrition. Consists of protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals. As for the function of soaking the grains (rice, beans, corn) is so that when eaten by chickens is more quickly digested, rather than giving the grain directly without being soaked first.

  • After making sure your rooster meets the nutritional intake of the food, the second thing you have to do is maintain its stamina and freshness by bathing and drying it in the morning. Bathing and drying it, besides being able to make fresh chicken, the morning sun is very good and healthy for chickens, this is because the morning sun contains vitamin D. When drying the chicken don't be too long, just 15-30 minutes is enough or depends on the sun's heat or not hot the sun. If you dry it for too long, the chicken will be dehydrated

  • The third step is to give extra food to him. This is important, because staple food alone is not enough. Extra food can consist of eel meat, mutton, boiled eggs and some fruits, such as tomatoes and bananas, cucumbers and others. you should give extra food in the morning, before or after the chicken is bathed and dried. Extra food itself is given to anticipate the lack of nutrients in the main food, namely grains. Especially, for cock fighting. This extra food is very important. Because, fighting chicken needs extra nutrition so it is strong to compete like boxers.

  • After these three tips have been put into practice, now the final step is how to maintain your chicken's immunity or resistance to disease. I usually give multivitamins and herbs. Or you can try making it yourself, with 1 egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of honey. Then, you mix the two and give it to your chicken. If, the weather is more uncertain like where I live now. I give Tetra-Chlor. Why is Tetra-Chlor? Because, contains Vitamin-Mineral-Antibiotics. I think this is very good for preventing sick chickens. because the content is complete, antibiotics, vitamins and minerals are united.
