Fantasy Football Update 9/1/18
This will be a quick post about fantasy football. Week 1 is coming upon us soon. Most of you have already drafted, however there are still a few leagues that are waiting for the last minute to perform their drafts. If you already drafted this could be used on your waiver wire to pick up some players to stash on your bench.
It looks like Jerick McKinnon is suffering from a possible torn ACL injury that occurred in Saturday's practice. This could pave the way for running backs Alfred Morris and Matt Breida. Early reports are showing that Morris will most likely get the start in week 1 against Minnesota. Breida missed most of the preseason due to an injury of his own to his shoulder. However it could also be a Breida-McKinnon committee to start off the season. If that is the case, then Breida would get the upper hand in PPR formats. Minnesota's defense was one of the tops last year, so it may be tough to start either of these players. For now you should just stash them on your bench and see how it all plays out.
2 players were also cut from the league...Dan Bailey the kicker for the Dallas Cowboys and Martavius Bryant from the Raider's. Both players can be dropped off of your teams if you drafted either of them. Well that is all for now. Good luck this year in your fantasy football season. I have one more live draft tomorrow. That will make 5 leagues. I usually like maxing out around 3 leagues, but what are you going to do? I also did my first auction draft, which was pretty fun. Definitely love this time of year.
I'm in 4 leagues and a pick'em... I always say I'll do less but it never happens!
I've never done an auction draft though.
I'm a long time McKinnon's truther, and while I wasn't sure he could carry a full load for the year it was still nice to see a team that respected his talents. Really sucks
