Ladies, have you taken VIA test? Prove you are a cervix cancer free!
This is a frightening news for women. Every each hour Indonesian woman dies fighting cervical cancer. According to this national news, Indonesia takes second place for the highest number of cervical cancer case in the world.
Mostly these women didn't know that they are suffering cancer. This is a popular desease in developing and poor countries. As an overcome Indonesia government makes a socialization for this desease. So, what is cervical cancer? It is a cancer that attack woman's cervix. Who at risk to suffer this cancer? This disease will suffered by woman who already or actively has sexual life relationship. There are a lot of causes that a woman can be diagnosed with cervical cancer. HPV or Human Pappiloma is one of most common sexually transmitted disease that happen during sexual relationship. So, this is obviously a concern not only for women but also for men. Another issue is cleanliness. Being hygene and aware of self cleanliness and sanitary is important in preventing any bacteria or fungi that can stay in women even men genital organ. Most of women does not know well ignoring this little thing can caused them to suffer cervical cancer.
We can avoid this cancer by detecting early this cancer through a test called, VIA ( visual inspection with acetic acid). This is a visual test used acetic acid that applied in the woman cervix to see the reaction of the acid to detect cancer. The doctor or midwife takes the test and see the reaction of the ascetic acid. If the test shows different reaction of the acid so the woman is in concern.
Pap smear is a test for whom are in concern with VIA test. Their VIA test result is taken to laboratory for the next procedure before proven with cervical cancer diagnose. This is a quite expense test for the poor, so the local government has made a socialization and free test for local dwellers or they can contact their district medial bureau. However, the fact is some women are still reluctant to take the test. Feeling uncomfortable is mainly the reason. They do not realize that feeling uncomfortable one day can save them for the rest of their days life. So, we need more encouragement in concern as well.
The test can be taken at least once a year. In case woman has proven to suffer this cancer what to do is see the doctor and get intense medical treatment for cancer. We hope this cancer can be cured as it is hard to totally take away from the body cells. That is why preventing is the best reason for women no matter what. Men are also need to take concern as the first cause can come from both women and men. Therefore we should encourage every woman around us to take the VIA test.
