"It's complicated and i don't understand" about sums it up for me, lol, but I'm learning every day. My husband has taught me a lot as he's totally obsessed with it now! :) I've wanted to talk about it to some friends, but I feel I know enough yet to really explain it's benefits, but I'll get there. I'm really starting to see now how it can help people, which is awesome! I think as more people join steemit, the more people's eyes will be opened.

Personally, I've found that by talking about things with peers to be very helpful in my learning process.....because it shows me how well or not so well versed i am in my outlook and understanding. I focus on keeping things simple...and usually what emerges from my peers is some questions that kind of stump me....and that actually acts a stepping stone of sorts in me developping more clarity in my understanding....because it's like...ok i got to get more clarity...specifically on the question that 'mary' asked me about.
And so i go, grow with the flow of the conversations I have..kind of making this a quite natural process of integration.
Andreas Antonopolous is a really cool articulate down to earth guy who's got lots of youtube video's filled with awesome analogies.

Can you tell me what you do know about crypto? like what do you have in your mind about it at this point? It's ok to sort of ramble spit out loosely a response. In fact i encourage it!...and what questions come to mind for you?
Billions of dollars are flowing into cryptocurrency.... while billions is NOTHING in the central bank fiat currency economy... every ripple in the wave makes an impact.... there's still plenty of room for growth! (Just like in our lives...)

I look at cryptocurrency as a collection of grass roots movements...that have become a global movement of the people....like a world democracy of sorts....where money is the vote....and to a certain extent it's also about the number of active participants. I'm reminded of the 'pareto principle' it's the 80/20 rule....where 80% of the output is a result of 20% of the input. I see this in crypto....where it takes about 20% of world population to really tip the scales indefinitely. Though.....i think to get to 20% participation....i see this as largely a middle class initiative in terms of current wealth...there will be some low class level and high class level too
Point being, Globablly it doesn't take that many percent of the overall population working together in support of something that is great to be extremely disruptive and influential to current structures and systems of governance.
I mean if we look at how things how been historically controlled and suppressed...it's been by maybe less than 1% of the population really working together for what could be regarded as 'nefarious' agenda's.
So it starts....with 1% of the world being into crypto....and moving from there.....maybe that's around where things are at right now...somewhere around 1%....give or take. purely guestimating at the moment.
Pardon my loose structuring of my sentencing here....your comment really got me thinking...and i didn't want to stop to think to much...but just share what's coming up for me.

Crytpo currency would indeed make the average person more aware of their finances and increase their financial intelligence by forcing them to be involved on a day to day basis. It's maddening that people around the globe, slave away at work every day, exchanging their precious time at a job for fiat and then simply hand it over to someone else to manage, not having a clue what's being done with it or how it functions. Truly insane.

Cryptocurrency is "the" Party. Everyone is Welcome. Nobody is forced to be here...which really makes the learning curve a very natural progression...Because Innately we all have a natural learning abilty...We just can get accustomed to tuning out this ability by way of resistances...the forceful mentaility of all the rubbish we've been force fed for faaaaaaar tooo long.
So in a way, it's quite natural for people to have their defenses up and take offense easily....I mean great, great defense makes for excellent offense. lol.
I've been realizing it's more about understanding and learning from peers who dont "get" crypto...than it is about "trying" to convince or persuade.
Compassion too....because I mean wowzers, Grateful to Be Here!
