The history of an illegal emigration - La historia de una emigración ilegal

in family •  10 months ago

First, this post arises from the large number of writings that I read a lot of Americans, criticizing those parents who cross the United States border with their children in tow, little money and effectively lacking, many times they could read my answers about. Based on the aforementioned, I will share with you how is the stormy fact of making the decision to leave your country in this condition and what is the trigger to commit such audacity where you know that you put your physical and mental integrity at risk, clearly I will do it from my personal experience, not based on news articles from the press who bring to light what they want the masses to know.

I am Venezuelan and I speak Spanish but, in consideration of those who speak English, I will try to make a translation. The objective of this post is to share with you the reality of those who leave their country with little money and knowing that they will be in danger.

In principle I am presented, I am 25 years old, a degree in psychology, a master's degree in human resources management, I was a professor in two universities where I actually taught clinical psychology chairs for being my specialty, among them: neurosciences, industrial psychology, psychology evolutionary, clinical psychology, general psychology I and II, also experimental and communication psychology. Despite teaching so many subjects, my quarterly salary was $ 3, this did not even allow me to attend my workplace clearly, it did not even cover the cost of transportation, and despite that I attended every day that belonged to me. According to my students, I was one of the best teachers, they were the ones who asked me to give them classes again in the next year or quarter. I spent 2 years in that occupation, I had to resign because the little money I earned already did not allow me to pay for transportation expenses.

Also towards segments of psychology in regional television

From a very young age my family taught me to share what little they have, hence you can see in my blog that the small rewards or their donations are shared with the thousands of children in my country who must eat from the garbage because in their houses there are no food of any kind, they also taught me that need to transcend with good actions, among them the fact of giving classes for the love of art, because during all that time money did not allow me to cover basic needs. Just as the country where I am a part of the country was getting worse at the economic and social level, at the beginning I had the opportunity to go on vacation within the region, then I could not even leave my house because there is no public transport because of the high costs of spare parts for cars.

Another phenomenon that marked my life in a decisive way was the murder of my cousin, she decorated parties and in my town there is a jail, where there are figures who rule in the region called pranes, they extort money from the villagers to execute what they want , she and her family were forced to decorate a party of this figure (the pran), but, they detonated a grenade and she died on the spot, however her cousin went into a coma for two months, and these two months were horrendous, they constantly attended to check the health status of the survivor and continue extortion, these actions in the country are nothing isolated.

Here you will find a note that the media reported, omitting real information

In my country to be able to go out you have to walk or risk riding on a truck designed to transport merchandise or animals, since the buses have gone out of circulation, the medicines are scarce and if you can find them a simple painkiller of 10 pills costs $ 4, it is say more than my salary of three months, the price of food is exorbitant, a kilo of meat costs $ 3, a dozen of eggs $ 2, a pair of economic shoes $ 50, and the whole post could take place here making a list of at the cost of living in Venezuela perhaps to increase indignation.

In all corners of the country people eat from garbage

The point of all this is that there comes a time when you no longer tolerate being subject to these situations for longer, simply because trying to survive is not having a life, it is not being alive. Due to the amount of calamities that is happening in Venezuela, I used some very poorly paid jobs on the internet but, it was the only way to access the currencies, within these works this fix captchas, where you must solve a thousand to reach 90 cents, with the speed of the internet in my country, those 90 cents are achieved in 3 hours approximately, ah and that we can add the constant fall of the Internet connection and electricity, here the light is absent at least three times in a day. But, in this way I managed to raise $ 50 which I invested in ebay items like security cameras, extreme cameras, some clothes to bring to the country with free shipping and resell them.

This process deserves 1 month to be able to receive the articles, on two occasions or on the contrary never, they are lost due to the fact that they are free shipping, there are no tracking numbers but, so I spent more than a year and a half, to finally achieve $ 200 , it took me so long because selling products bought in foreign currencies and converted into local currency generates very high prices, that is, a security camera cost me $ 18 in the currency of my country are 70,000,000 Bolívares net, without profit product. After making innumerable inquiries about the amount of money needed to reach Peru by bus from Venezuela, we managed to conclude that approximately $ 150 was spent, even though in the destination country the renting of a room has a high cost and does not have furniture either, that is to say you must buy a mattress, kitchen, fridge and others.

The rest, I have managed to convert it into physical dollars, since with paypal I will not be able to travel.

Indeed the money is not enough to satisfy these needs, that's where the daring takes place and where all the Venezuelans who left this country wonder if it's really worth it, but we stop and we see that our diet is going away from basic products like meat, chicken, fruits, vegetables because of its high cost, where getting sick is simply a luxury that in many opportunities it can end your life, if not finished by the high crime rates that hit the country. It is there where you prefer to see yourself in any country that allows you to be a street vendor because you do not have money to get permits and legalize your entry, although you really do not have bad intentions, the only thing you have is simply living and being able to eat in a balanced way every day. It would be a resounding luck to be able to exercise my career again, but the truth is that I will have to omit my degrees and take any occupation that generates some sustenance.

The truth of the case is that when I arrive I will have to sleep on the floor and eat whatever I find at a low cost, the truth is that if life is good with me I may have something that I do not have here and that is quality of life. The bus trip lasts approximately 5 or 6 days depending on the number of hours that are lost at the borders to seal the passport or get the so-called Andean letter that is the possibility of entering another territory with a card with your ID, but, the first frontier that we find is that of Venezuela with Colombia and because of the large number of people and the corruption of the security forces there at least 2 days later, then you run into the border of Colombia and Ecuador, there are also delays at least 2 additional days and in Ecuador and Peru it takes a few hours, maximum 6 because this country is helping us to minimize the controls for Venezuelans to enter its territory.

We do not want to leave our country in these conditions, we do not want to be street vendors, we do not want to sleep on the floor, much less be in an unknown place where we do not know anyone and there is no one who offers us a helping hand, the truth is that we do not want that, I do not know a human being in the world who wants it but, it is more stormy to stay in your country and die of hunger, it is simply survival, there are a thousand emotions that overwhelm me before making this trip, between those despair, fear, sadness for leaving my family in opportunities I have trouble sleeping at night because I do not know what could happen to me, but there is also a little hope that things will go well, that if life is good with me I will have the opportunity to have a plate of food on the floor of some room every day. Only that I ask, only with that I am satisfied.

This publication aims to all those people who complain about those who leave our country without papers, change a bit to see things, I insist, we do not because we want, the rulers of our country kill us from hunger and not We have more options, a little humanity makes us great.

I'll only ask you to share this post so that everyone can get educated, that's the contribution I need from you.

Everything I tell in this post is totally real, my social networks are instagram: marynesa_

Many of the emigrants are not delinquents, we are professionals with university studies, even superiors, who help with what little we have, and we leave our country out of necessity.

This is a super great post @mgaby. I am too late to upvote or resteem, but I am super grateful you brought me here. These are the realities that people need to hear, especially since there really is enough of everything, humans are just too dysfunctional to make the blessing of well being for everyone a priority.

I've always felt that drawing fictitious borders and trying to control where others are allowed to go really keeps us separate, divided and selfish.

I feel your desire for a better life will pay off in many ways. May you walk with great guidance and find peace in your path.

UPvoting and following you.

The truth is that just those borders are those that currently separate families but also give joys as simple and monotonous as to enjoy a plate with food. I hope in the near future to share the fact of being better and having achieved stability

I hope so too @mgaby. Perspective is indeed everything. Keep giving us updates!

You can not imagine how difficult it is to be a friend, it is really exasperating and sad. Every day is a bit more difficult and prices go up. Really thank you

Hola @mgaby, im literally just next door in Trinidad y Tobago and we hear alot about how hard it is over there, especially from those who ran away here from Venezuela. But I did not know it was this bad! Sometimes emmigration is a necessity.

so he is a friend, we are going through one of the most difficult situations, and so is the emigration in this case is necessary because here it is impossible to live.

Very depressing to hear first hand what happens. Most of the world never is even aware of what’s going on in other locations. You are brave and strong and I wish you can find the way and means to overcome the tough life you are living.

So he is a friend, many people are not aware of this situation because the media in most situations omit our reality. We all live this reality in my country

Yes I hear some awful horror stories. How do you feel this place, Steemit could help you?

The point of sharing the story for people to realize what they live, what is the sale of their money and why we do it, Steemit is a window for someone else to read it

Fantastic way to put it. We are all here for different reasons but what unites us here is wanting to share and absorb...for the most part. Lol
