TODAY IS FATHER'S DAD!

 

Every day provides us with opportunities to celebrate. Today I invite you to celebrate your Dad! Dad's have a special relationships with their children. I have been blessed with an amazing Dad. Today's poem is dedicated to him. I love you Dad!

My Dad

 

MY DAD
My Dad’s name is Dan.
He is a great man.
His family he does love,
and puts their needs above,
his own,
without a groan.
He always cheers me on,
urging me to be strong.
He’s the smartest man I know,
and willing to play in the snow!
As I grew,
together we drew.
Our mutual love of art,
in our life is still a part.
We go to the art exhibitions,
it’s a father daughter tradition.
Dad supported my every endeavor,
he taught me not to use the word never.
He celebrated my every win,
and held me when I bruised my shin.
His love is immense,
he taught me common sense.
He encouraged my education,
and celebrated every graduation.
He cooks my favorite foods,
just to boost my mood.
So many small acts of caring,
are his way of declaring,
I love you,
he says it too!
I would not be who I am,
without the love of this man,
I am glad,
to call Dad.
