Beware Chinese fake copy automotive parts!

While Europe and the G20 countries smile and greet China with open arms.... It continues to allow unchecked the THEFT of our designs.
Shown here is a Blatant Copy of a well known brand boost adjuster.
Customer brought this with him yesterday for dyno tuning on a LC100 with 1HD-FTE. We went to fit it and noticed the screw in fittings all loose. Upon fitting, the vehicle went into boost cut as the adjuster on minimum had the boost running uncontrolled.
We grabbed one of our Genuine stocks we keep and it became immediately apparent this guy had been sold a FAKE copy.
The Chinese copy was half the weight, had loose fittings and clearly the colour and text was different a style. It even had "made in Australia" on it. But the worst.... it let the turbo boost run uncontrolled.
Luckily this went into a vehicle that had a built in boost cut safety mode. Imagine if it had been fitted to an engine with no self safety? Kaboom! One blown turbo.
Honestly, this stuff dusgusts us. We see it quite a bit. I was at a World Class Auto show in Shanghai a few years back called Auto Mechanika. It's a Famous show that appears around the World put on by the Germans. So one would expect it to be a Quality show. Yet.... what did I see there? Hall after Hall of Fake copy parts. ARB copy lights. Bosch copy injectors and the list goes on. I was shocked and disgusted to see this unchecked FRAUD.
BEWARE of Poor Quality Cheap Rip Off Parts. It's Not worth the Risk.
Now... back to the story.... worse still this unsuspecting customer bought this from a reputable shop. BE AWARE.
Ok... So you've seen the pictures and I'm sure the sharp eye guys have picked it already. Yes, the FAKE is the lighter colour one on the left.
Closing whinge. By the way.... Our auto industry was told by our politicians to compete or close. Hmmmmm.... compete with Fake parts?
