Facebook attacks Virtual Currencies: No ads anymore!

in #facebook6 years ago

Facebook is doing its part to stop the proliferation of virtual currencies. It seems like they do not want to embrace the new technology. This is very good news for Steemit, which relies on its virtual currency Steem.

Examples of such ads that would no longer be allowed: "Use your retirement funds to buy Bitcoin!” and “Click here to learn about our no-risk cryptocurrency that enables instant payments to anyone in the world.”

Here virtual currencies can promote their projects still and have an audience that understands something about the technology.

It is a pity though that the number of cryptoenthusiasts is throttled by Facebook, a dying, strictly censored platform.

Good times ahead for free speech advocates like the Steemit-Platform!

I wonder if Steemit would be allowed to place ads... in the end it is not Steem... or d.tube for that matter...

I think Jerry Banfield placed some ads on Facebook??

yes jerry banfield is doing project 'budget' to promote steem ...he also make a post in which mention that steemit ad is clicked by 2 million people on facebook

I think they have prevented the defamation of news ico

They believe that they are stealing and stealing people's money

Why is Facebook relevant anymore? They don't care about all the other spam you see on the site. They're afraid of being spanked by the government for letting people have freedom.

I don't understand what all the fuss is about. FB is already crammed with fake news, scamming ads and links to virus ridden websites. Anyone who uses it to make financial decisions probably deserves to be ripped off...
Just saying.

@mexbit, That would be best news for steemit. Mark Zuckersburg decided to stop crypto related add in FB. With that decision stay yet virtual money in steemit. Thanks for details.
Resteemed.

@mexbit

The sad news for many who actively promoted the idea of the Steemit in the Facebook , but seen under the pressure of someone, they took this step. As for advertising on the Steemit, everything is possible and can even conduct a survey on this topic among users. Thank you @mexbit

I enjoyed reading your post. There is a lot of good stuff.
