Exchange Transfer Report: 9/3/2017 to 9/9/2017
USD values are calculated per day via API feeds from Poloniex (for STEEM and SBD values in BTC) and Coindesk (for USD value of BTC). For the top 50 reports in USD terms, I take the average USD value for STEEM and SBD for the week using the daily average which came out to:
- STEEM: $1.20584
- SBD: $0.96944

Assumptions

Commentary
The withdrawal to deposit ratio is almost exactly the same as last week at 8.67 (compared to 8.70).
@alpha withdrawing a third of a million dollars?!? Dang. Anyone know what this account is all about? I see transfers from @steemit2, @steemit1 and @ned with massive transfers to @minority-report which has over a million steem and appears to be delegating most of it. Is this account related to Steemit, inc some how? Please chime-in in the comments if you know. I'm curious.

Only $1.4M heading out this week compared to $2M the last couple of weeks.
The powerdown amounts for next week is in the green at 16.08% (but note it's off by a day as I'm doing this report on Sunday, not the usual Saturday as I was out camping).
Must say I'm excited to see where things will go this month. With both some exciting new releases on the STEEM blockchain such as Zapple, and the potential new announcements from steemit. All the while the cryoto-market is experiencing a lot of FUD while the Bitcoin is set to either break up or down... Could be utter chaos or it could be new records on the horizon :P
Will be an interesting ride either way.

Luke have you heard any news as to why Poloniex is still not able to transfer Steem or SBD .
In my opinion, no one should be dealing with Poloniex at all. I've tried to warn people. My opinion: stay away. If you need to get Steem out, sell it for BTS/BTC/ETH and buy it back on Bittrex or OpenLedger.

Thanks for warning about Poloniex! I have never used it before, but planned to, and after your post and other reviews on the internet I changed my mind. The point is Poloniex BTC to Steem rate is so low in comparison with Bittrex recently (up to 15% difference during the last days). I wanted to do some arbitrage between Bittrex and Poloniex prices, but now I understand it may not be worth it!
Love your comprehensive stats. Thank you! Astonishing numbers in the top. The question I ask myself is which accounts are with real people or blogs behind and which are just accounts for administration of huge amounts of cryptomoney and for what reason only out of curiosity. How a cleared up Top 50 would look like if admin and founder accounts are excluded?
