USD values are calculated per day via API feeds from Cryptocompare (for STEEM and SBD values in BTC) and Coindesk (for USD value of BTC). For the top 50 reports in USD terms, I take the average USD value for STEEM and SBD for the week using the daily closing price which came out to:

Commentary
The withdrawal to deposit ratio by user account count is up a bit at 2.13 withdrawing accounts for every 1 depositing account.
There is 7.04% more Steem Power powering down this coming week compared to last week.

The value of steem makes me want to cry. How long will I have to hodl? I've worked really hard to accumulate the little I have and I have important projects in my life and business to handle. Is there any hope for the future?
So clearly you weren't hear when STEEM was going for around $0.15.
Welcome to cryptocurrency. I bought STEEM when it was around $3 and $4 back in 2016 before it crashed. It's part of how things go in this space.
I got into steemit roughly six months ago, it was around $5 back then I think. Its really unpredictable

That is a lot of money fleeing Steem. No wonder the price has declined so rapidly.
It's actually not as bad as previous weeks. Not as bad at all. The price is down because all of cryptocurrency is down and they all rely on BTC as a trading pair so everything moves together.
Still the less liquid Steem on the market the higher the price should be... Or at least maintain a good btc ratio.
