Is the pin code functioning properly?

in #esteem-feedback9 years ago (edited)

I enabled the pin code and found when I changed from esteem to another app and then came back to esteem the pin pad is showing. The first time this happened I entered pin # but the pin pad would move around causing wrong numbers to be entered. I started panicking thinking I was locked out or hacked. I accidentally touched outside the pin pad box and was allowed in.

This is on iPad .

Also just tried to submit this on my iPad and I was able to type a title, but the keyboard would not come up so that I could type the post. I was able to post from my iPhone.

Thank you for reporting this!

Do you see PIN screen on fullscreen or does it only cover part of the screen and you are able to escape from pincode without entering it?

Ok, I reenabled pin code and tried to save it on the settings screen. It wouldn't save. I then went to another iPad app and came back to esteem and pin pad showed up and I did have to enter the pin code, I couldn't escape out of it. so I killed the app and restarted it and pin pad came up with the trending screen and i was able to touch outside the pin pad without entering pin and it let me do it. this is in landscape iPad mode. Also in landscape mode the pin pad is cut off at the bottom. image
I tried to duplicate on the iPhone and it appears to be working correctly, although if I am in landscape mode the confirmation that the correct numbers are being entered is hidden.

Thank you for screenshot and details! Look like pin screen needs to be full screen. Noted this down, will work on it ;)

I havn't had this happening myself, but I quickly tired of having to enter the pin all the time and just disabled it. :P

Lol, I suppose I should just do that now.

haha maybe, but I hope you get some answers though. If not, I'll send good-karma a message as I'm sure he's interested in your bug report.
