Myanmar generally do not like that. They consider it as an uprooting of racial tree. This idea might come down from the biography of the Buddha. The Buddha was the royal prince of Sakya family, and in those days, they generally got married to their cousins.

ျမန္​မာတို႔သည္​ ျမန္​မာအမ်ိဳးသမီးတစ္​ဦး ႏိုင္​ငံျခားသားႏွင္​့ လက္​ထပ္​သည္​ကို အႀကိဳက္​ႏွစ္​သက္​ၾကပါ။ အမ်ိဳးဖ်က္​သည္​ဟု ယူဆၾကသည္​။ ဤသည္​မွာလည္​း ဗုဒၶ၏ ဘဝျဖစ္​စဥ္​ မ်ိဳး႐ိုးမွ ဆင္​းသက္​လာ​ေသာ အယူအဆျဖစ္​၏။ ဗုဒၶသည္​ သာကီဝင္​မင္​းမ်ိဳးျဖစ္​၍ မိမိတို႔ အမ်ိဳးအခ်င္​းခ်င္​း၊ ​ေမာင္​ႏွမ ဝမ္​းကြဲ​ေတာ္​သူမ်ားသာ လက္​ထပ္​ၾကသည္​။ ျမန္​မာဘုရင္​မ်ားသည္​လည္​း ​ေဆြမ်ိဳးခ်င္​း လက္​ထပ္​ၾကသည္​။
