As one of the schools that is intensively implementing the school literacy movement, SMAN 7 Lhokseumawe continues to improve. Literacy is an activity that must be carried out by students. Literacy activities at SMAN 7 Lhokseumawe are still in the basic literacy stage. At this stage the main focus of the literacy program is to move students to carry out literacy read and write activities.

In order to make the literacy program run successfully, the school asked students to make a reading corner. The reading angle is designed in collaboration with students. Various models of reading angles created student creations. The school provides all the necessities for making reading corners. These include providing books for reading literacy programs.

Even though it was still in the habituation stage, literacy in literacy developed well in the school. Even students are willing to contribute non-lesson books they have to place in the class library. Everyday student read books that are displayed in the reading corner.

Seeing the development of such literacy is so developed, the person in charge of the school literacy team who is also the deputy head of the curriculum field seeks to seek the help of reading material. The main goal is to make the reading material available in the class more varied. Thus, the motivation of students to carry out literacy is higher.

Like the tit for tat, Director of the magazine of POTRET, Tabrani Yunis, is willing to donate the POTRET magazine. As much as one box, he sent the POTRET magazine as literacy nutrition for students of SMAN 7 Lhokseumawe. The magazine was sent to the school address received by the person in charge of the school literacy team. Then the magazine was officially handed over to the principal. The principal then submits the magazine to the head of the school library.

The magazine is then handed over to each class as an additional literacy material. Students were very excited when reading the magazine. Moreover, the content of the magazine is related to the world of education as they live it. Students are very fond of potret magazines, so they repeatedly read. When reading other students' writings such as the poems contained in the magazine, a desire arises to send their work to a potret magazine. This desire was approved by the leader of the portrait magazine. Until now, potret magazines have increased student motivation in carrying out literacy in literacy.
