EOS MAINNET LIVE AND FULLY FUNCTIONAL

Today is a day history would definitely not forget.

The long awaited EOS mainnet is now live and fully functional. The first smart contract has also been uploaded. This EOS coin with the longest ICO in history was scheduled to be launched on the first of June 2018 but due to the bug hunt and GO/NO-GO Votes by block producer candidates it actually launched on the 10th of June 2018. That was a glorious step, but the mainnet didn’t go live the same day because of the voting that needed to be done, voting to select block producers. This voting required 15% of the 1,000,000,000 token (150,000,000 tokens) to be staked. The voting got of to a quick start, but slowed down soon after. Seemed like most whales were no eager to stake their coin, either for security reason because they had to give out private keys or they were planning an exit strategy should price dump after the mainnet becomes operational. I guess we would never know their reasons. The voting process took 4 days and finally here we are with a fully operational life system.

Eos has been long called dust, valueless token, scam and so many other names. I guess the time is now to see what this coin can actually do. Its time to prove the doubters wrong. I am very confident that this coin would deliver on its promises. The issue of scalability should not be argued, we can take a look at its sister currencies (bitshares and steem).
