Been seeing EOS since it was started promoting but until now still I dont have a clear understanding about its nature. What really is EOS? Is it also platform like steemit ? or .... I need clarifications.

EOS will enable applications like steemit, busy, peerplays and the rest to run on it with interoperability. It will have the performance, scalability and architecture to enable millions of transactions to occur in parallel so it can scale horizontally. There's not much more I can tell you but there will be much more information coming out soon!
