On August 7th, the EOS mainnet transactions per second (TPS) reached a new all time high of 3,708 TPS, with the last peak of 3,590 TPS. 【BM: Stop sending 4% Tokens, Update the REX code on Github, Clear the EOS resource renting model】
BM submitted a smart contract code update in Github's EOSIO code base, which will stop sending additional 4% Tokens to the eosio.savings account. If the proposal is approved, the current EOS system will only retain 1% of the additional tokens for rewarding BPs. BM uploaded the REX code on Github, and realized the unified lease of resources such as CPU on the EOS network through REX tokens.
The final result will be decided by the community, which will be effective only after 15/21 BPs vote.

At the same time, the eosio.rex account will transfer the corresponding amount of REX tokens to the lessor's EOS account, as the lessor's credentials to retrieve the EOS principal and rental income;
b. The tenant sends the “monthly rent, EOS account receiving CPU/NET resources” through the system contract. The monthly rent will be transferred directly to the eosio.rex account. The system automatically obtains the resources available to the tenant according to the Bancor algorithm and the EOS account pledges the corresponding CPU/NET resources forthe tenant.
c. All rental information (renter account, rental amount, etc.) will be displayed to the "rex_pool" list, and all rental information (received EOS and rental status, etc.) will be displayed in "rex_balance".
