Tribe mante
The Mante tribe (Gayo: Manti) or also spelled Mantir, [1] is one of the earliest ethnic touted in folk legend ever inhabiting Aceh. [2] This tribe, together with other indigenous tribes such as Lanun, Sakai, Jakun, Senoi, and Semang, are the ethnic groups of today's Acehnese. [3] The Mante tribe is thought to belong to the Proto Malay family, in the area around Aceh Besar, [5] and live in the interior of the forest. [6] The indigenous tribes are thought to emigrate to Aceh via the Malay Peninsula. [3] In the legend of Aceh, the Mante and Batak tribes are referred to as the forerunners of Kawom Lhèë Reutōïh (tribe of three hundred), which is one of the indigenous groups of Aceh. [7] Currently the Mante tribe is extinct, or disappeared because it was mixed with tribes of other migrants who came later. [2] To date, there is still no strong scientific evidence for the existence of this tribe.
Alleged Last Appearance Edit
In March 2017 there was a recording of a group of impoverished Acehnese who accidentally saw and recorded someone suspected of the Mante tribe. An alleged mante tribe was shocked and ran very fast and this agedan was recorded by one of the impurity in the group. The tape was published on Youtube and quickly became a conversation in cyberspace in Indonesia, and became news material.
With the news that the Aceh government had time to make the team search Maku tribe to examine the real existence. The social ministry also traces the existence of the Mante tribe in order to obtain Social Security.
